Shaking Our Booty!

Recently we had a student teacher come to our class - Miss Kearney. As part of her learning she taught us dance.

The children were taught different dance elements such as locomotor, non-locomotor, pathways and levels. They taught each other different dance movements that they then made into a dance. Luck we had scissors in our pants so we could cut some shapes on the d-floor!!!! Click the link below to view the dance...

Taku Whanau - My Family

We have spent a few weeks learning the Maori words for the different members of our family. Then we drew each person, added a sentence that told people their name and then how they were related to us. The sentences we used were:
Ko ___________ tenei (This is __________)
Ko ia taku ______________ (He/She is my ____________)
We learnt words like kuia, koro, mama, papa, teina and many more.

Here are the vidoes we made about our families. We used a really cool app called "Storyrobe" to make them. We hope you enjoy!!
